Sourdough Flatbread (Quick, Easy, and Totally Versatile) 🍕🫓

Why This Recipe?

This sourdough flatbread is your go-to recipe for pizza nights, snack boards, dips, and even wraps. It’s soft, slightly chewy, and takes less than 30 minutes from start to finish. No yeast, no rise time—just sourdough magic and a hot skillet.

🛠️ Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sourdough discard

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt (or more discard for dairy-free)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

⚡️ Instructions:

1️⃣ In a medium bowl, mix together sourdough discard, flour, yogurt, olive oil, baking powder, and salt until a dough forms.

2️⃣ Knead gently on a floured surface for 1–2 minutes, until smooth.

3️⃣ Divide into 4–6 pieces and roll into balls. Flatten each one into a thin round using a rolling pin.

4️⃣ Heat a dry skillet (cast iron is best) over medium-high heat.

5️⃣ Cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until puffed, golden, and lightly charred.

6️⃣ Stack on a plate and cover with a towel to keep warm and soft.

🔥 Bonus Tips:

Want garlic naan-style? Brush with melted butter + minced garlic.
Use them as: Pizza crusts, sandwich wraps, or for scooping up hummus or curry.
Make-ahead tip: Store cooked flatbreads in the fridge and reheat on a skillet.
