Meet Hiro, Lani, and Wazi: Faith-Filled Characters from Christian Children’s Books Kids Love
When I first started writing, I wasn’t trying to create characters.
I was trying to answer my kids.
But somewhere along the way, those answers took shape.
They became names.
Voices.
Stories.
And that’s how Hiro, Lani, and Wazi were born.
🌿 Hiro – Learning Courage in the Unknown
Hiro is the oldest.
He feels things deeply, even when he doesn’t always show it.
He wants to do the right thing—but sometimes he wonders if he’s strong enough.
When they moved to a new place, Hiro carried the weight of being “the brave one.”
But courage, as he learns, isn’t about not being afraid.
It’s about trusting that God is with you—even when you are.
Hiro represents the child who is:
quietly strong
learning to lead
figuring out what it means to trust God in real life
🌸 Lani – Leading with Kindness and Confidence
Lani brings warmth into every room she enters.
She’s thoughtful. Observant. Brave in a different way.
While Hiro wrestles internally, Lani steps forward with kindness.
She reminds others—and herself—that being different isn’t something to hide.
It’s something to share.
Lani represents the child who:
leads with kindness
builds friendships
embraces who God created her to be
🌈 Wazi – Joy, Boldness, and Unfiltered Faith
Wazi is the youngest—and the boldest.
He doesn’t overthink.
He doesn’t hold back.
He jumps in with joy, curiosity, and complete trust.
Where others hesitate, Wazi moves.
His faith is simple. Pure. Unfiltered.
And sometimes, that’s exactly what everyone else needs.
Wazi represents the child who:
lives with joy
trusts easily
reminds us that faith doesn’t have to be complicated
💛 Why These Characters Matter
Hiro, Lani, and Wazi aren’t just characters in a story.
They reflect real moments.
Real emotions.
Real questions.
Real growth.
That’s what makes these Christian children’s books different.
They aren’t about perfect kids.
They’re about real kids—learning how to walk with God in everyday life.
📖 More Than Just a Story
Each story is built around the moments children actually face:
starting at a new school
feeling different
learning to be brave
making friends
trusting God in the unknown
Because faith isn’t something we teach once.
It’s something we live—over and over again.
🌱 Bringing Faith into Everyday Life
That’s also why these stories don’t stand alone.
They connect to everything else I’ve created:
Bible verse cards for kids
scripture-based gifts
simple reminders that God is present
Because sometimes a story plants the seed…
and a small reminder helps it grow.
🙌 If You’re Reading This…
You’re probably raising kids who ask big questions too.
Kids who:
feel deeply
notice differences
wonder where they belong
And if there’s one thing I hope these characters show, it’s this:
Your child doesn’t need to have it all figured out.
They just need to know that God is with them—right where they are.
