Sourdough English Muffins (Nooks & Crannies Galore) 🥯

Why This Recipe?

English muffins are known for their airy texture and iconic nooks and crannies. Adding sourdough takes these muffins to a whole new level of flavor and fluffiness.

🛠️ Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sourdough discard

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

  • Cornmeal for dusting

⚡️ Instructions:

1️⃣ Mix the Dough: Combine sourdough discard, flour, sugar, salt, milk, and butter. Let rest for 2-4 hours.
2️⃣ Shape the Muffins: Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thick, cut circles.
3️⃣ Cook: Heat a greased skillet, dust muffins with cornmeal, and cook 5-7 minutes on each side.
4️⃣ Split & Toast: Fork-split for maximum cragginess!
