Sourdough Garlic Knots (Soft & Buttery) 🧄🥖

Why This Recipe?

Soft, pillowy garlic knots with a tangy twist—perfect for dipping, snacking, or as a side with pasta. Sourdough gives them extra flavor and softness!

🛠️ Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sourdough discard

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 cup warm water

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

  • Parmesan cheese (optional)

⚡️ Instructions:

1️⃣ Mix Dough: Combine discard, flour, salt, sugar, oil, and water. Knead and let rise for 3-4 hours.
2️⃣ Shape Knots: Roll into ropes, tie into knots.
3️⃣ Garlic Butter: Mix melted butter, garlic, and parsley.
4️⃣ Bake: Brush knots with garlic butter and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes.
5️⃣ Brush Again: Once baked, brush with more garlic butter and sprinkle with Parmesan.

Want them cheesier? Stuff the knots with mozzarella before baking!
